The Kappa - Zbrush end-to-end Creature Workshop

I had the opportunity to do Pablo Munoz Gomez Zbrush end-to-end creature workshop and had an absolute blast! Massive thank you Pablo. Awesome course!!!!

We created our creature from references, to design sketches, blocking in Zbrush, through to render passes and finally compositing in Photoshop.

I thoroughly enjoyed this course and picked up so many new good work practices and techniques to help my workflow. In fact, I enjoyed this so much I subscribed to ‘the extra mile course’, which I can’t wait to sink my teeth into.

I chose for my creature to redesign the ‘Kappa’. The kappa is a Japanese mythical demon who lures their victims into the river and drown them. They proceed to steal what’s called a ‘shirikodama’ a mythical ball said to contain the soul, which is located in the victims anus.
